Flying V recently joined the North Philippines Visitors Bureau on a media familiarization tour of destinations aimed to promote tourism under the project Lakbay Norte 2.
From January 24 to 31, 2011, travel and lifestyle writers and photographers from the country’s top broadsheets, magazines, and online blogs traveled to Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, La Union, Baguio, Zambales, Subic Bay, Tarlac, Clark Freeport in Pampanga, and Bulacan to have a first-hand look at the wonders these destinations offered.
Flying V Chairman Ramon V. Villavicencio says that, “Our appreciation of our country grows the more we know about it. We at Flying V, being in many destinations around the country, know this from experience. That’s why we fully support this effort because it is a step into boosting awareness and, ultimately, livelihood in the countryside.”
Flying V’s flagship station in Clark served as a fellowship venue during the third night of the tour. Participants were welcomed by the station staff and served a sumptuous feast at the V8 Baresto.
