COMPRESSOR OILS
CUTTING FLUID-S is an emulsified oil and when mixed with water, forms a dense white emulsion of high stability with good anti-corrosion and anti-foam properties along with added germicidal activity and bacterial growth control. It is used for cutting and grinding fluid for machining operations. It will tolerate a wide variation in water quality for preparation of the emulsion with no pre-treatment needed.
To mix, simply measure a quantity of the neat oil and pour it gradually into the correct volume of water to the dilution ratio required. Stir the mixture until all the oil has been added and a uniform emulsion is obtained. The recommended water-oil ration is 30:1 or higher. The most common mixture is 20:1 for machining and 30:1 for grinding. The mixture can also be used on some hydraulic press types of equipment.
