Here Comes The Sun: Flying V To Open Solar-Powered Stations in Clark and Subic
Known as a maverick throughout the oil industry, Flying V pioneers once again with the introduction of the first solar-powered gas stations in the country.
To be located in Clark Freeport Zone and Subic Bay, an effort such as this should come as no surprise from an oil company that is relentless in its search for alternative means of energy.
The stations will be equipped with solar panels that will produce clean energy to partially power the facilities.
Project director Ramiro Villavicencio says that, “Nearly everything we do in our modern society requires energy that is generated by burning fossil fuels which contributes to the carbon foot print that effectively harms our environment. This move by Flying V won’t solve the environment and energy problems the world is experiencing. However, this is part of our corporate social responsibility and we are doing our part to address such problems. Likewise, this is to support our advocacy for clean and alternative energy which is in line with the government’s Clean Air Act.”
These flagship stations will also feature self-service pumps targeted to give motorists cheaper fuel.
